Prussing Library Media Center is now automated as part of the CPS online library system S.O.A.R. (Seeking Online Access to Resources). You can search materials online just as you do at your local branch of the Chicago Public Library.
The Chicago Public Schools and teachers at Prussing encourage all children to have a Chicago Public Library card. This is one of the best and most important things that parents can do to extend their children's learning beyond classrooms.
If you need more information about how to apply for a free CPL card, vist the library's Web site.
Prussing Library Media Center is introducing a new program called myOn to the students. This program is a customized online library, where digital books are selected specifically for your child based on his/her Lexile score and personal interests.
The students are going through a simple training during their library time in the next couple of weeks. Your child will bring more information home including the username and password. Please review the site with your child and encourage them to use it as much as they can. This program, in addition to the Compass Learning program, will further help our students reach a higher academic level.
The Website for this program is http://www.myon.com/login/chicagopublicschools/prussing
